American Farmland Trust – Saving the Land that Sustains Us

A private nonprofit membership organization founded in 1980, AFT works to stop the loss of productive farmland and to promote farming practices that lead to a healthy, sustainable environment.

Members’ concerns include the loss of farmland to development, the loss of family farms, soil erosion, water quality, wildlife habitat, traffic congestion urban sprawl, food safety and maintaining an abundant food supply. Members receive a one year subscription to AFT’s award-winning quarterly magazine “American Farmland.”
